The Francolise Castle International Art Prize (CE) was born from the desire to
promote contemporary art as a tool for rebirth, capable of generating new ideas and inspiration.

Artists, free from thematic constraints, can express themselves through elements, images, concepts, and materials that represent their individual thoughts, their world, and their unique and subjective artistic feeling.

Exhibiting their artwork in the spaces of Francolise Castle means entering a place rich in centuries of history, where each work dialogues with memory and history.

The Francolise Art Prize is not just a competition but an opportunity to showcase your art, participate in the awarding of prizes, and a chance to meet artists, art lovers, gallery owners, and critics.

The exhibition is hosted in the 9th-century Norman-style Francolise Castle: a highly prestigious location that represents an important showcase for emerging and creative artists.

From January 31, 2026, to February 15, 2026, Francolise Castle (Caserta) will be transformed into a true art gallery, hosting an exclusive event where art will take center stage. A meticulously curated exhibition and high-quality works will transform the space into an immersive experience, capable of moving and inspiring the public. Each work will have its own space, designed to fully enhance its visual and emotional impact.

The theme is free, and registration is free.

The theme of the competition is free, as is the choice of techniques and media.
For two-dimensional works, the maximum dimensions at the base are 100 cm and 150 cm high. For sculptures and installations, the dimensions must be agreed with the organizers.

A maximum of three works may be submitted for each category, but artists may participate in multiple categories by paying the required fee each time.

Shipping and return costs for the works will be borne by the selected artists.

The competition is open only to artists who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
All winning artists will be contacted for official notification and prize delivery.

The winners of the contest will be announced during the inauguration and will receive the prizes offered by Expositiva Aps.

Full-color catalog of the finalists' exhibition.

All accepted works will be published in the official catalog of the event. Each artist will be dedicated a full-color page. A copy of each volume will be sent to the selected artists to preserve as an important milestone in their artistic and exhibition career.

Numerous copies of the catalog will be sent to art critics, curators, galleries and art collectors, design studios, and architecture firms.

Each finalist artist will receive a certificate of artistic merit.

Photo reportage.

Publication of the finalist artists' works on the Expositiva Aps Facebook and Instagram pages.

The winners will be announced during the opening ceremony.

For selected artists, the participation fee for the first phase

Register by November 15, 2025, and only if you are selected will you receive a 20% discount.

Instead of €225.00, only €175.00 for one work

Instead of €400.00, only €300.00 for two works

Instead of €550.00, only €400.00 for three works

For selected artists, the participation fee for the second phase

After November 15 and until December 15, 2025, only if you are selected, you will pay the full fee of €225.00 for one work, €400 for two works, and €600 for three works.

How to submit your application

Send the form with your information and images of your works to:

Fill out the form with your details and the details of the work(s) you wish to submit (Title, Year of Creation, Technique, Dimensions) to participate in the selection process.
Await the outcome of the artistic committee's evaluation, which will be communicated to you by email within 5 days of submitting the registration form with the images. If selected, you can proceed with the formalization of your participation.

The selected artist can participate by choosing one of the following options:
• Two-dimensional works:
The artist can participate with one, two, or three two-dimensional works by paying the relevant fees.
If submitting multiple works, they must meet the following requirements:
· Identical dimensions and the same frame (if used).
· The maximum dimensions allowed for two-dimensional works per work are 100 x 150 cm (width x height).
• Three-dimensional works (sculptures, installations, textile art, etc.) must be agreed upon with Expositiva Aps.
• All two-dimensional works must have a single central hanger.
• Paintings must be submitted on a stretcher frame; unframed.
• Photographs, illustrations, drawings, and graphics must be submitted framed (open frames are not permitted) or printed on a rigid support without a frame, preferably with the addition of spacers or a rear frame.
• For shipped works (not delivered and collected in person), the use of glass is prohibited for transport reasons. The use of plexiglass is recommended.
For installations/sculptures/etc.:
· The work must be freestanding, placed on the floor or equipped with a separate base.
· The works must be assembled by the artist himself at the exhibition site at least 1 or 2 days before the opening.

Selection and Participation Fee
Participation in the selection process is free.
Only if the work(s) is selected for the final exhibition will the artist be required to pay the fee for organizational and promotional expenses and for registration with Expositiva Aps.

Images of the works for selection, accompanied by the completed and signed application form, must be sent by the deadline to the following email address:

The selected artists will be contacted by email within 5 days of receiving the free registration documents.

The artists will be selected at the sole discretion of Expositiva Aps together with the members of the Jury; any appeal is therefore excluded.

Shipping and Collection of Works

The dates, times, and locations will be communicated to the selected artists via email.
Shipping costs, both for shipping and return, are the responsibility of each participant.

Packaging and Acceptance Conditions
All submitted works must be carefully packaged for easy transport. The packaging material must be reusable for returning the work.
Works that are not adequately packaged or delivered in open containers will not be accepted. Damaged works will not be exhibited.
The organization assumes no responsibility for any delays, losses, or damages incurred during transport by couriers.
In the event of withdrawal after selection and payment of the fee, the fee will not be refunded.

Personal data processing

By registering, artists accept the regulations contained in this announcement,
including all its parts. Artists authorize the Expositiva Association to process the participating artist's personal data in accordance with the law. Personal data and uploaded images may be used for purposes related to the competition. The artists themselves are entirely responsible for the content of the images or text entered. Artists who register for the Expositiva Castello di Francolise International Art Prize automatically consent to registration with the Expositiva Aps Association. Artist awards, as per Presidential Decree no. 430/2001 (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a), are to be considered as
recognition of personal and artistic merit or competitions organized for the production of artistic works, excluded from the application of the rules on prize competitions.
