1) Purpose

The Expositiva Aps Association, after the editions of aPalazzo Contemporary Art Prize and International Art Project Fondazione Castello di Sartirana, promotes a new Contest for summer 2025: "return to aPalazzo." The initiative aims to open the doors of art to creatives from all over the world, promoting dialogue between different forms of expression and providing a platform for wide-ranging artistic encounters and enhancement.

The commitment of Expositiva Aps has already led to the creation of major exhibition events:

- aPalazzo Contemporary Art Prize, which welcomed 132 artists from 18 different countries,

- International Art Project Fondazione Castello di Sartirana, registered a 40 percent growth in membership, reaching 189 artists from 20 different countries.

The high level of selected works resulted in visually striking group exhibitions that were able to tell the complexity and richness of contemporary art through a variety of techniques and themes.

The works of the finalists of “ritorno aPalazzo” will be exhibited at Spaziob - Palazzo Sanseverino in Vigevano (PV).

 

 

Palazzo Sanseverino, a historic building from the 14th century, is located in the heart of Vigevano, close to the famous Piazza Ducale, called “The drawing room of Italy.” The Palazzo houses the exhibition spaces of Spaziob, where over the years numerous artistic and cultural events of international and other importance have been proposed, becoming an important reference point for new artistic proposals, under the direction of architect Davide Buscaglia, a passionate and expert figure in the art sector.

Setting up in this context will help create a fascinating dialogue between the past and the contemporary, offering the public a unique and highly suggestive exhibition experience.

Participating in “return toPalazzo” means not only exhibiting in a prestigious exhibition, but also becoming part of a network of professionals in the field.

This exhibition experience will offer artists a concrete opportunity for growth, with the chance to be noticed by collectors, curators and art critics.

 

Expositiva Aps confirms its commitment to the dissemination of contemporary art, creating spaces for dialogue and appreciation for artists of all backgrounds and experiences.

All participating artists will have wide visibility on the website WWW.EXPOSITIVA-ART.IT for the promotion and enhancement of their works.

2) Theme

"return toPalazzo" is open to artists of all disciplines: painting, graphics, design, photography, sculpture, installations, digital art, etc., and experimentation with new forms of expression.

There are no thematic or technical constraints: each work must represent the artist's personal research and poetics, leaving maximum freedom of expression.

The theme of the competition is free, thus leaving participants maximum freedom of expression. Artists will be able to explore and develop their personal research without limitations, experimenting with concepts, styles and techniques that best represent their creative journey.

The goal of the competition is to create a bridge between emerging artists and established realities of the art world, fostering connections between creatives, curators, galleries and enthusiasts. The group exhibition of the finalists at Spaziob in Vigevano will be a unique opportunity to exhibit in a prestigious historical setting, enriching the contemporary art scene with new and innovative languages.

3) Dimensions and types of works

The size of the works entered in the different categories must be a maximum of 1.50 x 1.50 meters and weigh no more than 20 kg. For installations and sculptures, the dimensions may be different (larger) but the weight must not exceed 40 kg.

The selection is made on the basis of the photographic material sent by the participants at the time of registration by email to contest@expositiva-art.it

 

 

Each of the three works, must be submitted through a single Jpeg image of max 2 MG. and 300 dpi and accompanied by: title, year of creation, technique and dimensions

4) Selection and Winners

Artists will be selected from all participants for the final exhibition of the competition to be held at SpazioB Palazzo Sanseverino Vigevano (Pv)

The exhibition will be accompanied by the color catalog, distributed throughout the exhibition period.

The works of all artists entered in the Competition will be visible on the monitor during the entire duration of the exhibition.

Invitations to the vernissage will be distributed to artists, curators, critics, journalists and media in the area chosen to host the event.

The artists will be selected at the sole discretion of Expositiva Aps together with the members of the Jury, any possibility of appeal is therefore excluded.

5) Exhibition venues and prizes.

The total prizes will be worth about €7,000.00.

During the opening, the winners of the contest will be announced who will be awarded the prizes offered by Expositiva Aps.

The works of the finalist artists will be exhibited at the: Spaziob Palazzo Sanseverino in Vigevano.

The works of the 2 winners of the solo exhibition will be hosted by CSA Fam Gallery in Turin, Italy and L2Arte Gallery in Pavia, Italy.

AWARDS

COLLECTIVE EXHIBITION

The selected artists will exhibit at Spaziob in Vigevano. The opening of the exhibition will be accompanied by the general catalog, distributed throughout the exhibition period. Invitations to the vernissage will be distributed to artists, curators, critics, journalists.

 

 

PRIZE PERSONAL EXHIBITION

- 1 artist who will be awarded a solo exhibition at:

CSA Farm Gallery in Turin

- 1 artist to be awarded a solo exhibition at:

L2Arte Gallery in Pavia.

MONOGRAPHIC CATALOG

One of the finalist artists will be awarded a monographic catalog. The monograph will be edited by Expositiva Aps with input from the curators of the final exhibition. The monograph will be edited, printed and distributed at the expense of Expositiva Aps . Additional copies will be added to the distributed copies for the artist's personal use. The monograph will be printed in about 100 copies, 40 of which will be left with the artist.

MONEY PRIZE

Expositiva Aps will purchase one of the finalist works.

 

. The acquisition prize has a value of € 1000.00. Works not for sale or with a price higher than the acquisition prize will not participate in this prize. These works will still be eligible to win one of the other prizes.

6) Communications

The Expositiva Aps Association will notify the selected artists of the terms and timing for the delivery of their works.

All registered artists will be published on the official website of the competition WWW.EXPOSITIVA-ART.IT and on various social channels throughout the registration phase.

3 images for € 75.00 to partially cover organizational and secretarial expenses, and as a membership fee to Expositiva Aps Association based in via Monte Nero 47 - 27020 Tromello (Pv) Italy.

 

 

The artist who registers for "return toPalazzo" automatically gives his or her consent to membership in the Expositiva Aps Association.

9) Shipping and collection of works

Shipping, collection and any insurance of works for the duration of the exhibition is the responsibility of the artists. The Expositiva Aps Association that runs the competition will not be responsible for any damage, theft or loss of the works.

The original works of the selected artists must be shipped properly packed to a collection point that will be later indicated by Expositiva Aps.

 

 

Details and shipping times will be communicated directly to the selected artists as soon as the selections are completed. Works not picked up by the artists within 6 months of the end of the final exhibition may not be picked up or claimed.

10) Processing of personal data

By registering, artists accept the regulations contained in this announcement including all its parts. The artists authorize the Expositiva Association to process the personal data of the participating artist in accordance with the law. Personal data and uploaded images may be used for the purposes useful for the competition. The artists themselves are entirely responsible for the content of the uploaded images or text.

 

The prizes for artists, as per Presidential Decree No. 430/2001 (Art. 6, paragraph 1, letter a), are to be considered as recognition of personal and artistic merit or competitions held for the production of artistic works, excluded from the application of the regulations on prize competitions.

 

11) Miscellaneous

The Expositiva Aps Association reserves the right to make corrections to this announcement, useful for the best conduct of the competition, at any time.
